It’s the last day of the week for our students, so of course Pre-K had to make it a FUN Thursday! 🎉
Mrs. Rice’s class enjoyed a day full of fun, laughter, and giggles, ending with a little friendly competition in a game of tug-of-war! 💪
The winning team got popsicles… Who do you think won?!
Ms. Rice and Mrs. Marr OR the kids?! 👀
We love seeing our students having fun, making memories, and enjoying time together!
It’s a great day to be a Pinto! ❤️💙

📚🏈 SENIOR PINTO READING BUDDIES ARE HERE! 🏈📚
We kicked off a NEW tradition this year — Senior Pinto Reading Buddies!
Each Thursday, our senior football players will head to the elementary school to spend time with our youngest Pintos. They’ll read to students, listen to them read, encourage them, and most importantly, help remind them that reading can be FUN!
Today was the first day, and we loved seeing our high schoolers step into the role of readers, encouragers, and role models. ❤️💙
There’s something pretty special about Pintos of all ages learning, connecting, and cheering each other on!
We can’t wait to see where this new tradition takes us! 📖🐴

Math was full of movement and fun in Mrs. Harrison’s 1st grade classroom!
Students used a Kagan structure, “Stand Up, Hand Up, Pair Up,” to find a partner. Once paired up, students played Rock, Paper, Scissors and practiced keeping score using tally marks.
Learning, teamwork, and a little friendly competition made for a fun math lesson! 📚✏️

It’s International Dot Day, and our 1st graders are celebrating!
But what exactly is International Dot Day?
Inspired by the children’s book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, International Dot Day encourages students to “make their mark” and discover where their creativity and confidence can take them.
In the story, Vashti believes she can’t draw, but her teacher encourages her to simply make a mark. That one little dot becomes the beginning of a journey of self-discovery, confidence, and artistic growth.
Today, our 1st graders are celebrating with dot-themed activities while learning the meaning behind the day and the important reminder that big things can start with one small step!
We love seeing our Pintos get creative, try new things, and discover what they’re capable of!

ESL small groups are in full swing, and our students are ON FIRE! 🔥
We love seeing our students actively engaged, working through problems, and learning from one another. One student even took the lead and taught the class how he found his answer!
That’s what learning is all about—sharing ideas, explaining our thinking, and helping each other grow! We are so proud of our Pintos! ❤️

📚 First Grade is dropping everything and reading! 📚
First Grade has officially started DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) Time! Each month, students will have the opportunity to welcome a special guest reader to share their love of reading.
Last week's guest reader was James Howard, a children’s book author from Jefferson City! Students loved hearing Mr. Howard read one of his books and enjoyed the opportunity to ask him questions about writing and being an author.
What a fun way to encourage a lifelong love of reading! ❤️📖
