From playground deconstruction to floors being torn up, summer improvement projects are officially underway! We are excited to see these upgrades take shape and can't wait to share the progress with you along the way.

🎉 Congratulations to one of our newest teachers, Ms. Emma Rice, on receiving the University of Central Missouri’s 2026 Education for Service Student Award!
“Education for Service” has been UCM’s guiding motto for over 100 years, recognizing individuals who exemplify the values of community, diversity, excellence, learning, opportunity, and service.
Emma, a May graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, has already demonstrated an incredible commitment to her profession. Through leadership roles, community service, professional development, and hands-on experiences in diverse classroom settings, Emma has shown what it truly means to be a lifelong learner and a dedicated educator.
Her nominator shared, “She actively seeks out opportunities to build her skills, ensuring she is prepared to support all students with the most effective, current, and ethical practices available.”
We are incredibly proud of Ms. Rice and this well-deserved recognition. We cannot wait to see all of the amazing things she will accomplish as she begins her teaching career at California R-1!

Mrs. Medlin’s 3rd-grade class had a special visit from the library yesterday! 📚 We enjoyed a fun dinosaur story, created handprint dinosaur crafts, and even participated in a book exchange with other classrooms, so everyone got a new book to enjoy. What a great day of reading and learning

Elementary students have had the opportunity to visit the library, and the library has also come to our school to read and do crafts with our students. They also spent time talking with students about the summer reading program!
Registration is now open for the Summer Reading Program at Moniteau County Library. Children from newborn through entering 8th grade are eligible to participate.
Each child will receive a bookmark, and each family will receive a tote bag (families with more than four members will receive an additional bag). There will also be a special themed puzzle displayed on our community puzzle table that matches this year’s program theme.
Registration is now open for the Summer Reading Program at Moniteau County Library. Children from newborn through entering 8th grade are eligible to participate.
